Last year I bought the nice Ancor wire strippers and a double ratchet crimper. Should have gotten them years ago, they do a nice job. I still haven't found a great way to take the outer insulation off of double or triple wires though. I usually try to slice it down the middle with a knife, or snip with a wire cutter, but neither method is all that satisfactory. You risk nicking the inner wire insulation, and you don't get a clean edge where you cut the outer insulation to. Anyone have a technique that works better?
