Below is a pic of the catamaran ECLIPSE, abandoned in the Pacific, and found after about 10 weeks adrift... Seems you'd have quite a mess on your hands, if those roosting birds had been able to get below...
That companionway on QUANTUM LEAP has to be one of the stoopidest arrangements I've seen in quite some time... Looks like it was modeled after the access to a tornado basement shelter on a farm in Kansas... (grin)
