Has anyone heard of this as a substitute for galvanizing a rusty steel anchor? Our 45# Spade is rusty and needs something. We looked into galvanizing, but can't find anywhere closer than Jacksonville FL that will do it for such a small project. We also need our chain re-galvanized, but none of the yards, even in Jacksonville, have a way to tumble it so you don't end up with chunks of chain 2-4' solid.
I stumbled across this process in a post on the SSCA bulletin board. The guy is an hour north of us and the price is very reasonable. I googled the process and sure enough it appears to be common for commercial projects. He says he's not perfected doing the chain, but he's working on it.
Comments? The link is below, anyone with more knowledge than me, please respond! HELP!!!
