i believe that it is NOT a good idea idea. If you have a thruhull (at the point of discharge) that is adequately sized, then after the vented loops (plural) you might carry the oversized hose to the orfice. Otherwise, you may filling the bilge from one pump through the other. At the very least, you'll be increasing the head pressure if you're trying (or needing to use) both.
