Well, I don't have one of those ...

We have the paper Explorer Charts that we use all the time, whenever we move the book is out & opened up on the frig top. We have the Explorer Charts on a C-Map card that runs on the Raymarine plotters. I don't use a laptop for navigation, but I do have a MAC for whatever that's worth. We also have a small Garmin 440S that I attached a 12v plug onto and this plugs into an receptacle in the companionway, the cord easily makes it to the Helm, I bought a mount from Edson that quickly attaches or removes from the top of my pedestal. The Garmin is loaded with all the latest Explorer Charts, not just the Exumas, it's a breeze to use, graphics & picture quality are excellent. I have it mostly for a back-up in the event something goes wrong with the plotters, it would also come in handy for the entire US East Coast. My guess is you can buy on on ebay or elsewhere for not much money, I would think you could find for a couple hundred dollars, as long as you don't need the latest & greatest. Just a suggestion, probably not what you were hoping for, cheers, John
