The following is from some of the brochures and the AC Program that I picked up in San Diego.

New Format for the AC sailing, with Tight, Tactical racing close to shore. Spectators will be able to watch the races On Line, On Television, or at the Waters Edge.

The AC 45's are Exceedingly Quick and Highly Maneuverable, with speeds up to 35 mph

Breakthrough in Graphics - On-board cameras and microphones put you in the heart of the action. See and hear the decisions of the crews.

Along with the On Board Camera's they also use 3 helicopters providing video feed to the TV and Internet.

There are two Seasons of the AC before the finals in San Francisco in 2013. During the 2011/2012 AC World Series, all of these races are using the AC 45 boats.
