We just arrived at Marina El Cid in Mazatlan from La Paz via the top end of Isla Cerralvos. The first day was iron genny. Yesterday we had 18-25 northerly, putting us in Mazatlan at midnight. Fortunately we found shelter from the sea and good enough holding behind Isla Venados to anchor for the rest of the night and get some sleep. The passage into El Cid marina in 20 knot wind/sea conditions takes a braver soul than me. Susie drove.
When underway, I have checked in on the AmigoNet and the SonrisaNet. I also chat with a Seattle area HAM most mornings for a few minutes starting at 9am mst on 14160 mhz USB (an extra class band). Stop by if you can. Where are you now Ron? We'll be here for the next two weeks.
You have the boat name: Gratitude, my HAM call is KC1S with a XF1 Mexican prefix.
