I've been getting my prescription meds from Walgreens. I thought this was a good decision because I could get them filled by this nationwide company as we travelled. It has been a miserable failure. I go online to fill my prescriptions to be picked up at the closest Walgreens, and they're always filled in Stamford CT. This is a minor aggravation since I can go to the closest Walgreens in person and get them filled.
The last transaction really took the cake, though. I went to take one of my meds and I was out, even though all are on auto-refill. I went online to find that one was taken off of auto-refill, and not by me. It was taken off by the last Walgreens pharmacist. I placed the order on December 30th with expedited shipping to our marina in Annapolis, since the closest Walgreens requires a car to get to. Knowing it was a holiday weekend, I called on Tuesday to make sure it was shipped. It was not. Why? Because the meds were $125 and they wanted to know if that was OK. WTF??? Of course it's OK. It's been OK for the previous three years, and I entered my debit card info online and placed the order, why wouldn't it be OK? The lady on the phone apologized and said she would process it right away.
Today is Thursday. No sign of the meds. I called again. Yes, the order was processed and will be delivered on Friday. This is expedited shipping, I asked? Yes. It shipped on Wednesday.
Obviously, I need to change pharmacies. I've never dealt with such an incompetent and inefficient company. Does anyone have any suggestions?
