Last fall I had my dive service clean Miradors bottom at four week intervals. They found no growth in four weeks. I told them I wanted to go to a 3 month schedule and they agreed.

I've now gotten bills for cleaning on a 3 week schedule. They say that is what all boats are doing in San Diego - cleaning their bottom every 3 weeks! They still claim the Port of San Diego will not allow cleaning intervals of greater than 28 days.

It just does not make sense - no bottom growth - cleaning more frequently causes MORE paint to slough off and is WORSE for the environment - what a bunch of BS!
