... I have a feeling, like everything else he sponsors in his articles, he is either getting paid to do it, or, he more likely received the goods for free, so I question just about everything he writes about, although I think the guy's a genius, he's also a salesman. How much do you think ole Nigel paid for the that new Malo, or his new Frigoboat he installed, that he writes about seems like every other month some place. Probably not much if anything at all. BTW, I think the Frigoboat is a wonderful invention, I wish I had one.
I talked to the folks at H2Out and these products do seem cool. I bought the not so much $ #109 cannister/drier for my frig. H2Out tells me I won't see any frost build-up on my Holding Plate and the evaporator. We'll see, we'll be trying it out next month, we usually defrost once/month. If it does what they say it will do, I will probably get a canister to hang inside the boat.
I think Nigel's issue with the boat in Europe and being cold he probably sees more condensation than normal. If sailing in warmer temps, like New England in the summertime, I'm not sure the fuel tank vent line is necessary. If it's cold and the tank isn't full, then perhaps.
I'll report back in May how the frig drier worked !
