His parents just bought a cruising sailboat 3 weeks ago and are spending the weekend on the boat with their dog to see how he does. They are planning on cruising next year but hacing a Great Dane on a 42' center cockpit whidby(sp?). He is very hesitant getting on and off the boat. They bought a nonskid expandable ramp for him, but he is not sure he likes it..... Then the issue of companionways. They use the ramp again and again, he is not too sure. I think he'll be ok over time.....although actually sailing may become a whole new issue....healing and all.....

On a plus note, our dogs liked him and he especially liked Ruby.
