Monday morning I brought the rudder to my friend's shop
In Response To: Wednesday is PHOTO DAY! ()

Fairing a relatively flat surface goes much more quickly with an 8" pneumatic dual-action sander. Yesterday we glassed the edges and the prop aperture. We resisted the temptation to push ahead and glass the sides afraid that the edges might get munged up in handling. Tomorrow we'll hang the rudder from a couple boat stands and give it two layers of biaxial cloth with stitched mat and perhaps an additional layer of unidirectional roving. It worked out well to be there this week. I was able to lend an extra pair of hands while my friend finished fitting a repaired keel to a Sabre 38. Saved him a couple trips up and down the ladder.
