It does mean building many new parts from scratch, which I find interesting stuff. I would wonder if a project like this is much more costly than builiding a new 83' sailboat today? At any rate, the guy doing most of the fabrication of the bronze parts will also happily take my old leaking head sink and repair it with just as much enthusiasm. When you need "custom" work done, it can seem like a bargain.
