Some can be incredibly yappy. We were moored a bit too close to one in NE Harbor once. Its people left it along on the boat and the damn thing didn't shut up. Kinda sad, it was probably just lonely. Often bad dogs are not bad, they just have bad owners.

Skipperkes also shed up a storm! We had one on board once, giving it and its person a ride to the dock. Smart cute little dog (its owner said it was strained to pee off the low side - how cool is that?), but holy smokes it left a lot of fur in the cockpit for only being on board a few minutes!
