All the pieces for an open Multi Function Display are starting to fall into place; Low power pc, low power sunlight display, and now the RADAR !

The developer of OpenCPN has reverse engineered the Ethernet interface between a Garmin MFD and RADOME and has replicated the MFD functionality in a plugin for OpenCPN.
The code is in the testing stage and testing will continue once the developer gets a RADOME to work with.

The RADOME is around $1K and an account has been setup to take donations.

$10 from 100 people seems a small price to make open source RADAR happen !
