I replaced my ancient CD player/ AM/FM radio with a Sony. It is located in the nav station. The old radio had a 2 or 3 foot coax type wire that plugged into the antenna jack and it received FM stations fine. But it doesn't work nearly as well on the new radio. When you place your body in a certain position near the radio it receives great, but as soon as you move the signal drops out - drives me batty when it does that! I only have about 5 feet horizontal distance behind the nav panel to run some kind of antenna. I really don't want to get into anything fancy like an external antenna with long wire to run if I can help it. Anyone have any suggestions?
