As soon as it stops raining. The best thing would have been to remove all the deck hardware, sand down the non skid, and coat with a 2 part paint,... but I'm not. Maybe in the future or maybe it will happen on the next guys watch.
I'm simply painting the old non skid that's been painted a few times over 51 seasons, it's in reasonable condition.
Sanding the flat margins for some tooth. I used some paint remover on the non skid to get most of the loose paint in the pattern.
This painting has come about only because I've built a new glass and Six Ten epoxy joint between my glass decks and mahogany cabin(you can see the redish 407 fairing compound). A treatment I've learned from the local wooden boatyard. I'll post some pics when it's done.
