You guys did good...

advise for the v-berth trim piece proved to be right on (and believe me I used it all). I got carried away and laminated up two pieces of trim for a "bolder" more manly look. It only took me seven days to complete this project and I kept the piece in "traction" for the entire time in order to get even close to the amount of curve I needed. There were a lot more angles and measurements involved than I had thought. I do wish someone had mentioned that the perfectly measured and cut board would grow suddenly shorter when curved (just a two day setback however - requiring laminated mahogany end caps for a precise fit). All in all if I had to make this 35" trim piece for someone I would have to charge a minimum of $400. (plus the teak of course). It turned out as good as I could have hoped given my level of expertise, and is certainly up to the standard of it's surroundings.

(it's the piece above the mirror)

Thanks all !
