in Stonington CT a few years ago. My wife is a sparkling conversationalist (I'm grumpy by comparison) and asked about the dog. The owners comments went something like this:

"The idea is to get the non-allergenic no-shed coat of the poodle, the smarts of the poodle, and the friendly/loving disposition of the golden. My dog got all the recessive genes. It sheds, is stupid, and is pretty much indifferent to people".

BTW I don't get the silly name either: Why not "golden poodle"?
