We never lost it at Port Annapolis.

OK,,,, Derecho.

We only lost internet and cable tv. Always had power.

We were watching TV in the aft stateroom when the wind generator started turning. Within 10 seconds the noise hit, the boat started rolling over and hitting the dock. We ran on deck to see what was happening and it was amazing. The wind was around 60 and it was only 15 seconds from the time we first heard the wind generator. I looked around and saw these ducks just blow away, then the rear extension for the bimini frame folded and ripped off taking the zipper with it (aluminum). There was a boat at anchor behind us and I was worried that it would drag into us but he had it in gear at full throttle and it held. About 10 minutes later it lowered to around 50 and held at that speed for 20 minutes.

The Admiral was calling it a Bow Echo until they started calling it a Derecho. Really almost the same thing except for a Bow Echo is bow shaped and a Derecho is straight. The effect is the same.

Very strange indeed.
