The machine screws (1/2"+/-dia.) are currently stainless.
I like the idea of changing them to bronze and brazing them in place as studs.
However, it looks like the silicon bronze bolts I can find (Alloy 651 Silicon Bronze) are only half as strong as 316 stainless;
I'm not sure if this is a problem or not, perhaps I could use slightly larger screws (threaded into the holes?).
What filler would you recommend for brazing ?
