Boats like this, are they launched for a whole season... and if so, how long is that season? Here it is the beginning of August... when does season end, at the end of October?

Or are boats like this usually kept in "barns," maintained beyond practical, and then brought out for the one or two annual events like the old Firetruck for a parade?

How does this work?

Fantastic looking boat... I can imagine the fresh sails, like crisp linens being broken out and bent on, nary a wrinkle to be seen... Running rigging all supple and white lovingly laced into place. And then after a hard couple of days of practice and racing, she's all carefully wiped down like a prize race horse, and lead back to the barn... until next season.
