The big large racing monos and multis are faster, sure, but I haven't seen anything too startling in say 40 feet of monohull sailboat in, well, a hundred years. When a 40' all around decent sailboat, one that will provide the basics of todays racer/cruiser, circles me a couple times and then disappears, then I'll think something has really changed in sailing.
This "new" idea prototype will be at the boatshow in Rockland this weekend, I'm going to take a look. Is this something new, or just more high speed hype? Anyone going to the MBH&H show this weekend?
