So I heard through the local scuttlebutt. I did notice things were quiet. Then suddenly, I was seeing two bait trucks on the landing swapping bait for lobsters.
I can't quite see that dealers future though. I hear they're making huge landings in Stonington. Huge catches reported, by some boats.
But at half the boat price per pound. 3.00 down to 2 or even 1.50 a pound.... Maybe a few are doubling their catch, but I doubt the bulk are.
I think this may lead to a culling of the fleet, which would be a good thing I think.
