My dinghy died yesterday. Bad gas -- cloudy with water in the bottom of the tank. I drained the carb bowl, fuel line, and fuel tank into some gallon water jugs, and let it settle a few hours. There was a distinct separation with dirty water at the bottom. I siphoned the top portion back into the tank, started the motor again and it bogged down again. Repeated the process, but this time used new gas. Runs like a champ.
Now I have about 2 gallons of bad gas to dispose of. Any thoughts about an environmentally friendly way to do that?
