What can I say? I'm a daredevil.

Boat's name is Honu, a Rival 32. It has a red hull, so is easy to spot. We'll be heading to Northport, then Beaver Island, then points north and east and south.

Air temperatures after Labor Day are usually a bit cooler (cooler than normal temps are predicted this year). But the water temperatures are warm (for the Great Lakes) which is a moderating factor. Winds and waves are pretty much the same. Don't normally see a big change in the weather pattern until mid-October. And the crowds are gone.

So if you have time, take a few days to enjoy northern Michigan waters. There are some nice cruising grounds there. In any event, have a safe and enjoyable trip. Fair winds.
