I may try that fiberglass rod next time.

The rod at the top of the locker almost never gets wet. I was amazed that the wood dowel rod lasted as long as it did.

After years of constant anchoring out, we have never had a problem with grunge migrating into the cabin. And we sleep in the "V" birth all the time. It's just never taken place. BUT, I do not open that door any time soon after upping anchor.
