Cruising Sailors Forum Archive

We were lucky here, the surge never materialized.

At least not from what I could see. This was yesterdays high tide mid day, a Concordia hauled at the last minute. All the boats in the first row, background, were hauled for the storm.

Rockport Harbor was a millpond in the east wind, I slept well with my boat out there. Today there is a big swell curving in that built in the North easterly wind. We lost power for about an hour last night. Very odd weather now, warm and a bit humid outside.

There's still talk that high tides are still a concern in some areas. I'm waiting to hear good news on everyones boats condition that is still unknown.

With sails now pulled, Sandy has ended my sailing season.
