Storm Damage in New London

In the final assessment, we got off easy.
Curiously, damage to boats was limited to those on land. All boats in the water at fixed or floating docks fared well. The damage to 3 sailboats on shore was a 'domino' thing. The windward boat was on a cradle, and had a diagonal brace on the leeward side fail in tension - bad weld/corrosion? (Didn't really want to crawl under there to get a good look.) Damage to the boats really kinda minimal, considering.
About 4 or 5 powerboats seemed to suffer from flotation - ie: being lifted off their stands or blocking by the high water. Tough to assess their damage until they can be lifted.
Big problem is that that the boats that need to be lifted are out of reach of the crane. Although it has tires, it's far from mobile.
Aside from that, it's just a monstrous cleanup effort. Trash seems to have washed in from everywhere, and boatyard stuff (such as fixed docks, ramps, walkways) seems to have washed away to hither and yon. I saw an Ensign cradle on the sidewalk a block from the marina!
Suspect dockage rates will go up next year...
