It looks great in the photo. I see you used AC fir ply Tom. Is it marine grade? I used Fir ply for my Nutshell Pram and it's still holding up fine after 20 years outdoors(year round).
I bet your grandson was excited when it went from the stage of pieces of wood, then suddenly, it's a boat.
Now he'll learn how much work is still left to do.
