... my Qualcomm GSP-1600 is probably 10 years old, have not ever had a problem. Yes, I know the coverage & reception sucks, but now I cannot get the phone DISPLAY to light up. My battery is fully charged and the battery works fine in another person's phone. I can turn the phone on & off, and I can "hear" signal prompts when pressing buttons, for instance if I dial a number, I can hear the tones. But nothing lights up in the Display. When powered on, the Display does seem to light up a bit, but is blank. My service contract has lapsed, so I can't make a call, but even if I try, nothing is heard over the phone.

Any suggestions ?
