The sailboat has been laid-up for nearly two months but we still have the simple, 14' skiff in the water. Last Sunday was the day we had been waiting for, temps in the mid-40's and very little to no wind. We took the skiff out for a short afternoon run but the weather was so pleasant we keep going to the popular summertime destination at the Goslings. The entire bay seemed deserted of people but we had the company of several flocks of ducks, at least one bald eagle and a surprising numbers of seals.
