Closest area is Yawgoo Valley in Rhode Island - it's close enough that I don't mind driving my truck (16mpg). Primarily afternoon and evening skiing - very family oriented. They only open in the morning (10am) on Thurs and Fri. But I can get a 1/2 day ticket (10-2) for $15 - which is all the skiing I need in a day. I haven't asked about a 'Thur-Fri 1/2 day pass', but it might be fun just to see their reaction.
Other than that, it's driving 80 min (each way) to Wachusett. I'd have to give her my truck for the day and drive her Malibu.
