It would NOT prevent injuries

Perhaps it could reduce injuries, however: These products still are shaped with sharp corners and edges, and a blunt impact by a boat at-speed can be equally deadly. I’m not convinced such guards could or would save people in the water or marine life (e.g. manatees). I experienced significant performance losses and claims of improved performance by the makers are false (in my experience)….this makes all other claims equally suspect. As for safety, there is no substitute for observant captain/crew and safe operation of the vessel.
