Went to the website and saw this: "Coated materials typically breath therefore venting becomes extremely important when using for boat covers."

Seems like a backwards statement... if the material breathed, why would you need to vent? Confusing.

What the site did say was the material is being phased out, as there are better and cheaper replacements.

I am trying to protect varnished wood... seems to me that a breathable material would be the best bet... However I AM guessing here.

I know one thing, I insisted that the dorade vents be open, and that the solar vent also be exposed... The Canvas Guy said he would put in a window... now in retrospect I wonder about the window... if it is a plastic window, then my solar vent is useless. (sun will get through, but the vented air cannot escape.)

My boat vents quite well, I don't want to foul that up, I simply want to protect the brightwork.
