Just got the renewal invoice on my liability only insurance cover. $497 for 300K.

Year one $236.

Year two $277.

This would be year three with the same company.

They say it is because it is over 25 years old and claims increase at that point. To me liability is more a function of operator skill plus maybe the possibility of sinking due to poor maintenance and causing an oil spill.

Anyway, I am looking for a new insurance company. I am only interested in liability because I am required to have it and I just don't trust insurance companies. I worked for one for seven years. There are so many stories about insurance companies weaseling out of paying claims.

Does anyone have a company or broker to recommend?
