and I like racing fast. I used to race my boat but it's really more of a cruiser so I'm giving in to moving slow on my own boat and I'm getting my speed fix on a nice new C&C 115 on Tuesday evenings and the occasional weekend long distance race. My ideal now is owning a slow and comfortable cruising boat and racing on someone else's boat.
That Tartan 34 sure looks like a great deal for someone who likes to gunkhole. Shoal draft, a comfortable interior and way better engine access than on my boat all for under $15k. As long as the boat has been adequately maintained it only takes 2 or 3 days a year of extra maintenance to keep an old boat like that going. If you like to do the work yourself it's a real bargain. If not it's either a real chore or expensive.
