        The last picture of Viewfinder drifting away, lost at sea
        
        So sad, Blye. How's your friend doing?
        
        They're doing fine. In fact, they say they're looking for another boat already.
        
        (assuming insured), suppose they'll get a check for the insured value?
        
        It was insured and I hope the settlement goes well for them. They aren't broke, and I doubt would have to wait for $$$

        Why did they have the headsail deployed?
        
        On his blog post he says he kept what little of the genoa sail he had out to keep Viewfinder as steady as possible
