If you read my post again, it was a quote from the author of the article (who states his qualifications and believes he knows as much or more about this topic as anyone).

As to my opinion -- it doesn't matter until or unless I need to make such a decision aboard my own boat. That decision would be circumstantial, impulsive, and all the pros/cons would be echoing in my head. I certainly won't claim to be an expert.
