Tom, when we bought our Pearson 36 cutter, it was after one person made an offer and paid for the survey. When he saw the survey and realized that it wasn't a ready-to-go boat, he walked away from the deal. When the dealer contacted us, (we had looked at the boat previously) and told us that the surveyor would sell us the survey at half the original cost. We paid him for it and that was over ten years ago. So, in my view, you are good-to-go for selling it.
