Bought the Catalina (12x18) grill several years ago (now on second regulator) and like the grill. Only problem has been cooking chicken, particularly with the skin. Couldn't get the heat low enough - even with the regulator (10-264) on low and the lid propped open an inch, the chicken would burn.
Found the solution. Bought the regulator for the Magma TrailMate grill (10-262) - plugs right in & reduces max heat from 12.5 K BTU to 7.5 K BTU. Last two batches of chicken were done at about 1/2 throttle, lid closed, temp gauge just at the border between blue and white. No complaints.
