Nice old boat, an Alden Caravelle.

Alden built 18(a pretty good run for Alden) of these 41'6" glass hull and deck boats in the 60's and early 70's. Like the smaller Challengers built a few years before, these were glass hulls and decks layed up at the Halmatic Yard in the UK and finished both in the EU(this one, the Molich Yard in Denmark-I recognize the work), and a few at Hodgden in Maine. Some had cabins built in wood(like WIND SONG in photo), some cabin houses were built in glass).

Most were rigged as yawls but I rowed by this sloop in Rockport Harbor today.

Powerful boats with only 11' beam and full keels, they sail nicely. Spare but nicely finished below, lots of deck space and a large cockpit for sailing.
