As Al Gore predicted in "An Inconvenient Truth", the southwest is getting record heat and the northeast is getting record rain. The poor folks in the Mohawk Valley are getting flooded out again. We've been here for almost two months and its rained everyday but three.

The Erie Canal has been closed, and remains closed now for weeks. People doing the Great Loop have been stuck on the Hudson or the Canal. Governor Cuomo did a remarkable job getting the canal back up and running after 2011's hurricanes, but this is a shame.
