"Carry On" AC unit

One of the things that came with the new boat is a brand new Carry On brand AC unit. However, like most everything else, the previous owner chose to keep all the documentation for it. The installation seems pretty straight forward to a point. What I have is the unit itself, a power cord still in the wrapper, a white Sunbrella bonnet that has elastic on one end, an air diverter vent thing and four plastic rods about 2 feet long. I assume the unit just sits in the front hatch, the bonnet goes on to make it more airtight and the vent thing clicks on to divert the airflow from straight down to straight back into the salon. It has a bullseye level built into the top of the unit so I assume that is important, I have no clue what the plastic rods are for though, has anyone ever used one of these units?

I want to install it next weekend, we are having the annual family picnic at the club, it is always hot and humid so it would be nice to have a bit of airconditioning to escape to periodically.
