Subject - DO YOU NOD-OFF? - Speaking of Alarms - Helm Minder II

[Aptly named? Note the key! I admit to having nodded-off betwen, say, 2:00 and 5:00 AM on "quiet nights offshore. I had a crew member that almost allowed us a close encounter of the 4th kind with a 70-90' steel fishing trawler one night in the fog...but that's the subject of a different story.]

No More Nodding Off

Aqualarm Last Watch II digital helmsman minder , Skippering while tired is a hazard to your passengers, to other boaters and to yourself. If you’ve ever fallen asleep at the helm before, you know it’s more than just unpleasant. To keep weary cruisers on their toes, Aqualarm developed the Last Watch II digital helmsman minder. It works much like an alarm clock:
Set the clock up to 99 minutes ahead of time, and if the reset button is not pushed before the time is up, a loud buzzer will sound. If the buzzer is not stopped after 30 seconds, a second alert is sent to a remote audible alarm.
