Black Jack was built in Scotland in 1904 as a tug boat and started life working logs on the Ottawa River. In the 50's a local captain, Tom Fuller, converted the tug to a brigantine as his private yacht. I remember going aboard as a kid in the 70's listening to Tom spin yarns about being a captain in WWII. Some great stories about the "Pirate of the Adriatic" as he was known.
Black Jack has been operating as a sail training vessel since the 80's. Here she is bringing on jugs of water and supplies getting ready to switch crews at the end of the week.
