There's a lot of varnish, bling, and speed queuing up at the docks this week.

This is race week for wood in Penobscot Bay. Eggemoggin Reach Regatta is the centerpiece with a race from Castine to Camden and a feeder race to Brooklin Boatyard and WoodenBoat where the festivities fill the weekend.

Wood is old, slow, new, fast, take your pick, wood has it all today.

This is Goshawk. 76'3" looooong. The hull was built in Rockport and the rest finished at Brooklin Boatyard, all in wood.
