Spent a day on this in San Francisco Bay sailing and watching the AC72 races. A Mod 70 with crew from L'Hydroptere and the AC45 US youth team - 25kts upwind and 40kts reaching. We were probably the only boat on the bay that stood any chance of keeping pace with the AC72's. We sailed a bit with both Oracle boats, but those things are unbelievable when they take off on their foils.

The previous day was on an Extreme 40 catamaran the US AC45 team is using for training. That one only went 16kts upwind and 25kts reaching.
