Damn, this show is shaping up to be an Epic Fail... For the 3rd consecutive race, only one boat made it to the finish, today LUNA ROSSA only made it through the 2nd leg before a winch override likely led to a breakage of something in the wing, and they had to abandon... They were lucky, when the wind limit was reached, and the scheduled Race 4 had to be postponed...
One wag over on Sailing Anarchy came up with a classic assessment:
"Usually races are abandoned due to atypical conditions at the venue. This AC is different even in this respect: Races are postponed because the conditions are typical for the venue."
LMAO!
I thought this AC was gonna be largely about bringing yacht racing to mainstream America, but they haven't even gotten that right... NBCSN only televised the races on the weekend, and are not doing so on the week... Go to the America's Cup YouTube channel, and it is blocked in the USA... Someone finally directed me to live streaming on ESPN, for anyone who might be interested... Next race is scheduled for Wednesday:

Poor Larry Ellison, the long knives are being drawn, there's certainly no shortage of people who hate the bastard... (grin)
