We are in Arctic Norway, and the transmission in our Volvo has just quit.
Price for spare parts is likely far above a new unit. (e.g. $11,300US from Volvo Europe for a friction clutch, which is the probable key part, plus the usual miscellaneous new seals etc and labour. That is nuts

We are only a week away from a planned winter lay-up here, so one option is to bring a new transmission back with us from the US in Spring.

When I look at Volvo site for US, it refuses to let anyone not located in the US look at it.

Could someone please look at http://www.volvopentastore.com/ and let me know the US price for a Volvo MS2 transmission ratio 3.02:1
All I need is a decent idea of the US price. Once home, I can shop around.
